UW-La Crosse offers 85 undergraduate degree programs in 30 disciplines, and 21 graduate degree programs and emphasis in eight areas of study. The University is divided into three areas: Business Administration; Science and Health; and Liberal Studies. In recent years, UW-L has quietly positioned itself as one of the best public universities in the country. In 2005, U. S. News & World Report ranked UW-La Crosse #2 among public universities offering bachelor's and master's degrees in the Midwest, was listed #36 among public colleges nationwide in the most recent rankings by Kiplinger's financial magazine, and is among the 10 fittest campuses in the country according to Men's Health magazine.
