| Mission | |
| School mission | Texas A&M University-Texarkana is a public university serving approximately 1500 junior, senior and graduate level students. The institution produces quality graduates within a career-oriented curriculum in the areas of Business Admin., Arts and Sciences, Health, Behavioral Sciences and Education. Significant work is underway to create a College of Engineering and Informational Sciences. Future plans for A&M-Texarkana include a new 300 acre campus site and downward expansion of classes to freshman and sophomore students. Since the university is located in a border city of Texas and Arkansas, the student body originates from Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma. Classes are generally smaller than those at a typical campus, allowing faculty to spend more time assisting students. A&M-Texarkana is indeed "Achieving Excellence; Fulfilling Dreams." |
