| Mission | |
| School mission | Elon is recognized by the National Survey of Student Engagement as one of the most effective universities in the nation for actively engaging students in learning. Classes are four-credit-hours instead of the traditional three-credit classes, providing an extra hour each week for hands-on learning experiences. Faculty mentors work closely with students in small classes. Outside the classroom, students engage in the Elon Experiences by studying abroad, leading student organizations and doing internships, volunteer service and undergraduate research. Recent additions to the outstanding campus include a library, science center, residence halls and Rhodes Stadium. With an enrollment of about 5,500, Elon is the ideal size, with the resources of a university in a close-knit community atmosphere. |
