Colleges in Wyoming
The University of Wyoming in Laramie is the only four-year, degree-granting institution in the state. Agriculture and mining are major industries in Wyoming, and the University of Wyoming offers many innovative degree programs in agriculture, energy and engineering. While higher education options in Wyoming may be limited, students from Wyoming can attend select colleges and universities in 14 states at a fraction of the out-of-state cost through the Western Undergraduate Exchange. Top colleges in the neighboring states of Colorado, Utah, Idaho and Montana participate in the exchange and charge enrolled out-of-state students no more than 150 percent of the in-state tuition rate.
