| School mission: | Worcester State College, a public institution located on 58 acres of rolling wooded land in central Massachusetts, offers a wide variety of majors in the areas of liberal arts and sciences, business, teacher education and the health professions. The College is dedicated to offering affordable undergraduate and graduate programs and to promoting lifelong intellectual growth and career opportunities, and is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. The Worcester State College campus is a completely wireless network environment, and the number of online courses has increased by 200% since 2003. Student housing is safely set in the back of campus on a hill that commands a spectacular view of the entire campus. Applications for admission are evaluated on a rolling basis with an application deadline of June 1. Student guided tours of campus are offered on a weekly basis and two open houses are held in the fall for grants, loans and campus work.
