Western New Mexico University Museum is an academic archaeology & history museum, housing the largest exhibit of prehistoric Mimbres Mogollon artifacts in the world. Other permanent exhibitions include artifacts of prehistoric American Southwest and northern Mexican cultures. Historic photographs and artifacts trace the development of the university and region. The museum also hosts short-term exhibitions, artist lectures, talks, and university and community courses.
