Big Picture
The amount of student pride is awesome at WSU. I love it. It makes you feel like you are part of a big community because everyone bleeds crimson and is proud to display their feelings and emotions. Sometimes, they do so in a negative way. I think our school is a perfect size. I think we have nearly 24,000 students and its growing every year. They could make the stadium bigger though. WSU-pullman is definitely a college town. You hardly see any adults. No matter where you go you are surrounded by people your age which is awesome. Very easy to meet the opposite sex.
Academic Life
I am in a small major so my classes are small and the professors know my name. In class participation is very common in my major but your first two years you hardly ever have to talk and you can usually skate by never saying anything. WSU education is definitely geared towards getting a job and working in the real world. You have to have a internship with real experience in most fields in order to graduate.
Student Body
The students body is pretty closed minded a lot of times, however, things are changing. Colleges any where are usually more open to minority groups than in an old town down south. There are many groups on campus that concentrate on being a minority. Most students are from the west side of the state which is hilarious because this makes the entire state Cougar country and is a huge slap in the face to UW-- our cross state rival.
The Best Things
Student pride baby! GO COUGS!!!!!
The Worst Things
The weather sucks. It is almost april and we just had a blizzard last night....brrrrr
