The university's two campuses, located at the gateway to Hilton Head Island and on the waterfront in historic Beaufort, serve a diverse student body of over 1,600. With a student-teacher ratio of 17:1, USCB students benefit from small classes and optimal faculty interaction in a challenging academic environment. The Hilton Head Gateway Campus, which opened in 2004 and provides on-campus student apartments, is also home to a brand new Campus Center which includes the Sand Bar cafeteria, fitness center, multi-purpose office space, and a new and improved Shark Cove Bookstore. Both campuses offer undergraduate programs of study in the areas of Biology, Computational Science, English, Psychology, History, Hospitality, Human Services, Sociology, Spanish, Studio Art, Liberal Arts, Business, Nursing and Education. There are undergraduate research opportunities in state-of-the-art labs.
