The Hilton Head Gateway Campus, which opened in 2004 and provides on-campus student apartments, is also home to a brand new Campus Center which includes the Sand Bar cafeteria, fitness center, multi-purpose office space, and a new and improved Shark Cove Bookstore. Both campuses offer undergraduate programs of study in the areas of Biology, Business, Communication Studies, Computational Science, Education, English, History, Hospitality, Human Services, Nursing, Psychology, Sociology, Spanish, Studio Art, and Liberal Arts. There are undergraduate research opportunities in state-of-the-art labs.
