It's easy to understand why USCB is the fastest growing four-year institution in the USC system. USCB students pursue baccalaureate degrees in the liberal arts, sciences and professional programs. The university's two campuses, located at the gateway to Hilton Head Island and on the waterfront in historic Beaufort, serve a diverse student body of over 1,600. With a student-teacher ratio of 17:1, USCB students benefit from small classes and optimal faculty interaction in a challenging academic environment. USCB provides a remarkable blend of exceptional faculty, supportive staff, outstanding facilities and diverse student body, which creates a nurturing community where students can live and learn.

The Hilton Head Gateway Campus, which opened in 2004 and provides on-campus student apartments, is also home to a brand new Campus Center which includes the Sand Bar cafeteria, fitness center, multi-purpose office space, and a new and improved Shark Cove Bookstore. Both campuses offer undergraduate programs of study in the areas of Biology, Computational Science, English, Psychology, History, Hospitality, Human Services, Sociology, Spanish, Studio Art, Liberal Arts, Business, Nursing and Education. There are undergraduate research opportunities in state-of-the-art labs.
