Students at the University of North Georgia can also get involved in more than 130 campus clubs and try out for the North Georgia Saints varsity sports teams, which compete in the NCAA Division II Peach Belt Conference.

The campus of the University of North Georgia is nestled within the Blue Ridge Mountains and surrounded by the Chattahoochee National Forest, so there’s no shortage of outdoor opportunities for students to pursue, such as hiking, hunting, and camping. The town of Dahlonega was the first site of the gold rush in 1828, and today it’s home to restaurants and shops that are within walking distance of the University of North Georgia campus.
