The University of North Florida is located in Jacksonville, about 15 miles west of the Atlantic coastline and about 150 miles east of the state capital of Tallahassee. Student athletes can play at the intramural, club, or varsity level. The UNF Ospreys intercollegiate teams compete in the NCAA Division I Atlantic Sun Conference and are cheered on by Ozzie the Osprey, their feathered mascot. Notable University of North Florida alumni include Todd Haley, coach of the Kansas City Chiefs professional football team, and Patrick Faber, the minister of education in Belize.
