Big Picture
The best thing about UNCG is the campus. UNCG has a real family environment. The campus is big enough, but it feels like everything is close by. Downtown Greensboro is only a few blocks away, filled with interesting shops and delicious restaurants. The teachers and staff at UNCG are very friendly, and I have never had any trouble finding help when I needed it. I feel like UNCG is my home.
Academic Life
Most of my professors know my name at UNCG, and professors do not mind meeting with you outside class. Most of the classes I have taken at UNCG have been intellectually stimulating and fun. I have the feeling that my teachers want me to succeed.
Student Body
I really like that UNCG is a socially-active campus. Students care about world issues: such as voting, the environment, the war in the Sudan, and other human rights conflicts. UNCG is also a campus that believes in Service. ÒServiceÓ is UNCG's motto, and I feel that students really believe in helping people and they believe that normal people can make a change in the world. I have been able to help my community through programs that UNCG offers, and I think that I am a better person because I came to UNCG.
