Big Picture
The best thing about UNCG-- the campus. The campus is "the" college campus I pictured myself on when I imagined going to college. The school is constantly finding ways to improve it, the architecture and landscaping is continually upgraded in someway and it's the picturesque college campus, and you can still make it from one side of campus to the other in ten minutes. As for staff and professors, I have yet to find a professor or TA that wasn't willing to help me outside of class until I genuinely understood a concept & was never made to feel like I shouldn't ask for help or that it was a inconvience. There are some classes at UNCG that have required "service learning" aka volunteer work--initially I didn't like this but you realize alot of things about the community & yourself after these experiences. I can say now that I've learned things that will benefit me for the rest of my life and that's one aspect of UNCG being a liberal school that comes out most--trying to sincerely make you a well rounded person, not just a well informed student of academics. This is definitely a "college town" for the fact there's 6 colleges/universities in Greensboro and when you finally reach over 21, downtown is like a playground for nightlife. Overall, for my in state choice, I wouldn't have chosen another school to go to.

The Best Things
The diversity, nightlife downtown, and the fact you're on a huge campus but you always end up knowing a ton of people by the end of college so it never feels like you're just another number
The Worst Things
There's more girls than guys & no football team
