The University of Mount Union, a private institution founded in 1846, offers a rigorous and relevant academic program that is grounded in the liberal arts tradition. Mount Union's 2,200 students can select from 55 broad-based and career-specific undergraduate majors as well as a graduate program in physician assistant studies. Known for its personal approach, the institution boasts a 14:1 student-faculty ratio and a curriculum delivered almost entirely by full-time faculty members who hold terminal degrees in their fields. Throughout the course of the past decade, more than $100 million has been invested in the construction and renovation of modern facilities including a natural sciences building, recreation center, welcome center and apartment-style housing options. Primarily residential in nature, Mount Union's picturesque 115-acre campus is located in Alliance, OH (population 23,000), within 80 miles of both Cleveland and Pittsburgh. An additional 142-acre nature center is located six miles away. The University's endowment is in excess of $120 million.
