From the late 19th century through today, University of Maine students, employees and graduates have been Maine's leaders in government, business, education and all other fields that have an impact on the lives of Maine's people. Beyond its role in providing high-quality, comprehensive postsecondary education to generations of people, UMaine has embraced its responsibility to extend its expertise and resources to benefit the state.
