Big Picture
Honestly, I couldn't see myself anywhere else but DU. I feel like the class sizes are just right and there is always something to be involved in. I spend most of my time around campus, usually studying, playing sports or hanging out with my friends. There are lots of great places to go that are really accessible from campus. Some of my favorite times have been at the varsity hockey games. Everyone gets rowdy and it's a great time!
Academic Life
All my professors have been awesome. I had this one professor who was absolutely awesome. He was just really loud, provocative and effective and I never missed one class of his. I can always talk to other students about academics and have intellectual conversations. The classes, professors and content make going to class the best part of my day at the university.
Student Body
sometimes I feel like lower middle class students might feel a bit out of place. As far as what students wear...girls wear Uggs and guys are usually wearing sports stuff or polos. Definitely higher end clothing; I wear sweatpants, basketball shorts and sometimes pajamas. I'm all about comfort. I think most of DU students are liberal/democrats, and it seems to be sort of an unwritten law that everyone agrees on. I never ran into anyone arguing over political views. Overall, I think a great portion of the kids at DU care about money. It's a really expensive school, so must students have wealthy families where money is very important.
