Big Picture
I don't really like boulder. This school is not too big, but the people here are very judgmental and all they care about is partying. It is definitely a college town. The "Hill" would be a very cool place to hang out if everyone wasn't always drunk when they hung out there. There is so much drinking. There is school pride but it's the wrong kind. It's dirty and drunken, whereas some schools just have plain school spirit. The only thing the students are concerned about is getting drunk or high.
Academic Life
Most professors don't know my name and most classes are pretty big. If you go here, you have to take recitations which are ridiculous. Most colleges don't do that. Boulder students don't have intellectual conversations outside of class because they are too busy partying. Students aren't really competitive either because they don't care. Boulder doesn't really help you when you are struggling; it seems as if they want you to fail. Boulder isn't geared towards jobs or learning; it's geared towards them making as much money as they possibly can.
Student Body
Boulder is not a very diverse campus. Everyone here is very wealthy and very snobby. Ugg boots, prada purses, and big sunglasses are worn to class, and most students don't interact with you. Students think they are politically aware/active, but they are fighting for causes like weed smoking and underage drinking. It is a very liberal school, which I like, but the students don't ever talk about the future.
