The University of Bridgeport is a private, seaside institution in Connecticut’s largest city. Besides athletics, students can spend their time visiting the expansive Beardsley Park or the state’s only zoo, which is just a free shuttle bus ride away from campus. Other nearby, off-campus attractions include theaters, museums, and shops. UB’s most notable alumni include Fred DeLuca, who cofounded the Subway restaurant franchise.
