Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico is a private, non-profit, co-educational institution of higher education founded in September 1966. At present, it is the largest private Engineering School in Puerto Rico and the only one in the metropolitan area of San Juan. It is also the largest private Hispanic Serving Engineering School in the United States and its Territories. All programs of PUPR are authorized by the state licensing agency, and its program in Geomatic Sciences accredited by Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSACS, 1995). All its engineering programs Civil, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical and Environmental are accredited by the Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET), the Architecture Program is accredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) and the Bachelor of Business Administration is accredited by IACBE.
