Summary

Trinity Lutheran College is a private institution. It has an urban setting. It utilizes a semester-based academic calendar. Its tuition and fees are $23,900 (2012-13).

School mission and unique qualities (as provided by the school):

Trinity Lutheran College;s mission is to develop, through biblically-centered education, Christian leaders with a global perspective, whose lives and ministry serve Jesus Christ in church and society. Though the college has done this for almost seven decades, in this academic year, it has been expanded to be increasingly innovative and effectively engaged in the world around it. The college has launched several new initiatives. Using the motto "Small is the new big" the college has launched several initiatives that take advantage of its size. First, through significant scholarships to urban leaders and other initiatives, Trinity has become one of the most diverse Lutheran colleges--if not the most diverse--in the nation. Second, it is committing to cover the tuition, travel cost, and lodging, for all students to be able to attend an international January term experience. Third, our small size allows us to fund initiatives like biblical software for all first year students and EPIC, a program that provides students the opportunity to take part in local and Seattle area arts and entertainment events free of charge. On top of all this, this small college has launched athletic programs that are highly competitive. Our men's and women's soccer programs competed in their semi-finals. Women's cross country sent a student to compete nationally. Scholarship remains strong too this year. Students have been accepted this year to graduate programs, including Princeton Divinity School, Seattle Pacific University's Ph.D. program, and primatology graduate programming at Central Washington University.
