The special character of Saint Peter's University is defined by its Jesuit Catholic heritage, size, diversity, location, student life, and affordability. One of 28 U.S. Jesuit institutions and the only Jesuit university in NJ, Saint Peter's is committed to academic excellence and to developing graduates to learn, to lead and to serve society. With a ratio of one faculty to twelve students, the university is ideally sized with a total enrollment of approximately 3,000 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students. More than half of the freshman class resides on campus. Our remarkably diverse students originate from around U.S. and more than 60 countries. While providing personal attention, Saint Peter's is large enough to offer 47 majors, an Honors Program, internships, service learning, study abroad, a Washington semester, the Guarini Institute for Government Leadership, and five year bachelor/masters degree programs. Joint professional degree programs include Law, Medicine, Dentistry, Physician Assistant, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Clinical Lab Sciences, and Pharmacy. The main campus is on 25 acres in the heart of Jersey City, the second largest city in New Jersey, and just 12 minutes by train from the cultural and financial resources of New York City. Campus life is enhanced by 40 student-run organizations and 20 NCAA Division I teams. Committed to affordability, Saint Peter's offers among the lowest tuitions of the Jesuit colleges: 97% of students receive financial aid and the average award is over $20,000. |
