Big Picture
Coming from a small town, Skidmore was just right for me. I didnt want to go to a huge University where no one knows who anyone is in their classes. My class at Skidmore is a little bigger then my graduating class in high school, but that allows for smaller class sizes, more one on one with teachers, and an opportunity to know everyone on campus and what ohters are doing. Saratoga is also a beautiful and supportive town. There are endless things to do and the people from town are very welcoming and supportive of the SKidmore community.
Academic Life
We are a very serious campus when it come to academics. Professors are very approachable and understanding if you want to discuss soemthing with them. There are college requirements at Skidmore, but some people end up declarring their major based of one of the classes they were required to take. I am a Theater Dance interdisciplanary major which allows me to combine my two interests and many other deaprtments do this as well to try and accomadate everyone and their interests.
Student Body
The SKidmore student body has a wide range of interests. There are multiple events happening every weekend of dances, lectures, movies, performances, and other. Also since SKidmore is a smaller college, lots of collaboration happens amongst the students.
The Best Things
The creativity of the students and the support giving to them from the school.
The Worst Things
The expenses, too many, too much
