A small, private, upper-division college with the single purpose of preparing a knowledgeable and caring professional nurse who is cognizant of and sensitive to the health needs of individuals, families, and communities in a variety of healthcare delivery models. Low student to faculty ratio helps students acquire more individualized education in a caring environment. A rigorous curriculum combined with the application of holistic nursing practice at the Medcenter One medical center, various clinics, schools and community agencies. Focus on physical skills, decision making, crisis management, judgment and research. Clinical experiences include pediatrics, intensive care, nursery, emergency care, telemetry, radiology, maternity care and many others. Excellent NCLEX pass rate. Students may take prerequisites at an accredited college near home and transfer or attend a local college in Bismarck.
