Students at Roger Williams have the opportunity to join the more than 80 clubs and organizations available, including the Campus Entertainment Network, which is a standing committee of the Student Senate that plans and programs entertainment events. Known as the Hawks, Roger Williams fields 20 varsity teams that compete in the NCAA Division III.

Roger Williams promotes personal attention between students and instructors, which has resulted in the university offering no teaching assistants for any course. Each class is prepared and presented by a faculty member of the university. The Spiegel Center for Global and International Programs at Roger Williams University offers students opportunities to study abroad in more than 30 countries, including the United Kingdom, France, Brazil, and Hong Kong.

Forty liberal arts majors and professional programs blend the traditional and innovative, cultivating multiple areas of expertise.
