Mission
School mission: The mission of Eastern Nazarene College (ENC) is to serve God, the Church, and the World by providing a quality liberal arts education to students of all ages. Consistent with its Wesleyan heritage, ENC seeks to create and maintain an environment that awakens and fosters truth, righteousness, justice and holiness as made possible by God's transforming grace through Jesus Christ. Embracing its multicultural and urban environment, ENC prepares students to lead and serve in a diverse world by integrating "the best in education and the best in Christian faith". Eastern Nazarene College is located immediately south of Boston in historic Quincy, Massachusetts, the birthplace of Presidents John Adams and John Quincy Adams. Within walking distance of Quincy Bay, ENC combines the advantages of an attractive, park-like suburban campus with the unparalleled opportunities of one of the world's leading academic and cultural centers. While sponsored by the Church of the Nazarene, ENC serves students from many Christian denominations. Its unique academic and religious atmosphere draws students from all over the United States and several foreign countries. As a fully accredited traditional liberal arts college, Eastern Nazarene College has about 1,200 students in its residential undergraduate, adult studies, and graduate programs. ENC students enjoy an amazing success rate for getting into top graduate and medical schools and a 100 percent acceptance rate into law schools. ENC is known for its wealth of educational, cultural, and service opportunities. Many of ENC's faculty are active scholars involved in publishing and research and several have established international reputations in their fields. Nevertheless, at ENC the faculty emphasis remains on teaching and mentoring students in a nurturing, spiritually informed, and academically supportive environment. With a solid reputation for cultivating redemptive people who seek to live lives of leadership and service, ENC is poised to embrace its next century of growth and achievement as an important part of Boston's educational landscape.
