| School mission: | The University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) is an 1890 Land Grant institution and is the second oldest public university in Arkansas. UAPB remains committed to the continuation and enhancement of its Center of Excellence (Aquaculture/Fisheries), and its areas of emphasis (science and mathematics, minority business development, education, and student development and leadership). The University offers premiere programs in aquaculture and regulatory science. It provides technical and outreach services related to minority business development, agriculture, human sciences, education, and student leadership development in fulfillment of the university's role in society: to lead, to educate, and to serve. UAPB has more than 100 years of experience in solving problems related to matters of education, health, welfare, economic development, governmental affairs for the Pine Bluff community, Arkansas, and the nation. For an extended time, UAPB has been and continues to be the "Flagship of the Delta". |
