Colleges in Oregon

Known as one of the most environmentally friendly cities in the country, Portland is home to many of the top colleges in Oregon, including several notable liberal arts colleges. About seven four-year public institutions are located throughout Oregon, including in the cities of Eugene, Ashland, Corvallis and Monmouth. Most colleges and universities in Oregon are considered small to midsize, and only three are large research universities. Residents of Oregon can attend select colleges in 14 states through the Western Undergraduate Exchange, including in the neighboring states of Idaho, Washington, Nevada and California, and pay no more than 150 percent of the in-state tuition rate.
