| School mission: | The campus celebrated its Centennial in 2008-09. The campus improvement projects included: College of Public Affairs and Community Service renovation and addition, Dr. C.C. and Mabel L. Criss Library renovation and the Dr. Guinter Kahn addition, New Maverick Village student housing, New Mammel Hall College of Business Administration building located at the Pacific Street campus, Health, Physical Education and Recreation building renovation and addition, and new athletics facilities at the Center Street campus. The Thompson Learning Community provides increased full scholarship opportunities for our students. Most importantly in this year the Council for Aid to Education in New York, which administers the Collegiate Learning Assessment (CLA), reported that UNO does the best job of among of 176 colleges and universities in improving students intellectual abilities from the freshmen year to the senior year. |
