Big Picture
Condsidering I have wanted to attend NCSU since I was in 3rd grade, I had some pretty high expectations when I got there. Fortunately, NCSU met & even surpassed all of my expectations. The location is amazing! The campus sits right outside of downtown Raleigh and there are plenty of places to go hang out & have a laid back dinner with friends. Also, we have an unbelievable amount of school spirit. If you aren't wearing red, singing the fight song and screaming your heart out at our sporting events, then we know you must not be a part of the pack!
Academic Life
Academics at NCSU are tough, but there are many ways to survive. Academic advisors are extremely helpful with all decisions from which classes to take to which extracurricular activities to join. Not only do they like to help you with academics, but they like to have an idea of how your life is going and they're always there when you might just need someone to talk to. At first, it takes a while for most students to figure out HOW & WHEN to study but once you figure that out, everything becomes a little easier. Although some classes are huge, professors will still take the time to help each & every student who asks. There are also TA's in the majority of classes, which are grad students who are required to help teach a class before graduating. TA's are great because when there's something you just don't understand in class, if you go to the TA for help, they can usually explain it in a different way which may be easier to you to understand.
Student Body
Being a part of the Wolfpack is an honor for all members. Our student body is very diverse, giving students the chance to learn about a variety of different lifestyles and opinions. All different kinds of students interact & often become friends after meeting in classes or even in their dorms. If you're yourself and nothing else, you'll fit in great as a part of the pack!
The Best Things
The people & the school spirit. There's nothing more exciting than going to the big game with a bunch of your friends!
The Worst Things
I personally love everything about it, honest!
