School mission and unique qualities (as provided by the school):

The mission of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary is to equip leaders to fulfill the GreatCommission and the Great Commandments through the local church and its ministries. The seminary accomplishes this by offering associate, baccalaureate, master's and doctoral degrees in a variety of focused specializations. The school also offers a wide range of undergraduate and
graduate certificate training programs. NOBTS continues to make theological training accessible to more individual by offering multiple delivery systems. The main campus offers students the fullest learning experience. Students have access to professors on a daily basis in class and on the campus. NOBTS is a leader in theological distance learning. The school operates extension centers throughout the Southeast and has an Internet learning program that allows students to earn much of their degree away from New Orleans. A unique new initiative, the hybrid course, combines classroom instruction with online learning components. Hybrid courses are a great option for busy students who live further from the campus or an extension center, but still want some of the benefits of tradition classroom learning methods. Students attend class four times per semester on the main campus or an NOBTS extension center and complete the rest of the coursework via the Internet.
