Morris College seeks to combine both sound liberal arts and career-based programs with a particular emphasis on teacher education. It trains its students to master basic social, thinking, listening, speaking, reading, writing, mathematical, technological and leadership skills. It was the only historically black college selected by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to serve in the eight-college pilot project to test the Commission's new standards for accreditation, and it met every standard. |
