Mitchell College, a private, higher education institution, provides a transforming educational experience. Within a diverse and student-centered community and with an emphasis on holistic student development, Mitchell College supports individual learning differences, nurtures untapped academic potential, and instills professional knowledge and skills needed for students to contribute to an ever changing world. Mitchell is conveniently located, half-way between New York and Boston on a beautiful 68-acre waterfront campus with 2 private beaches, pond and nature preserve.

Mitchell offers fourteen Bachelor and 3 Associate degree options with programs tailored to student's personal learning style and a distinctive PG Year program, Thames Academy, a one year pre-college experience that allows students to earn up to 18 credits while strengthening academic preparedness.
Mitchell is also home to one of the premier programs in the country for students with diagnosed learning disabilities or ADHD within a mainstream college.
Innovative service learning and internship opportunities abound, including the student- run Michael's Dairy, Michael's Dairy Downtown and Red-Barn Cafe. Each academic major provides students with inventive internships tailored to their interests and future career goals. Additionally, there are 11 competitive NCAA III athletic teams which focus on the student athlete.
