| Mission | |
| School mission: | Ramapo College of New Jersey is sometimes mistaken for a private college. This is, in part, due to its unique interdisciplinary academic structure, its size of almost 6,000 students, and its pastoral setting. Ramapo offers bachelor's degrees in the arts, business, humanities, social sciences and the sciences, master's degrees in nursing, educational technology and liberal arts, as well as professional studies including teacher certification and social work. Ramapo has articulation programs at the bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels in the health and medical fields. Ramapo offers these joint programs in partnership with the University of Medicine and Dentistry (UMDNJ), New York Chiropractic College, the State University of New York (SUNY), New York University College of Dentistry, and New York College of Podiatric Medicine. In Fall 2007, Ramapo concluded our joint Nursing degree program with UMDNJ, and transitioned the curriculum for BSN and MSN studies totally over to Ramapo College. Ramapo boasts an average student faculty ratio of 18 to 1. The average class size of 23 affords students the opportunity to develop close ties to Ramapo's exceptional faculty, of whom more than 95 percent hold terminal degrees in their field. |
