Located in the small northeast Iowa town of Decorah, Luther College is an undergraduate liberal arts institution affiliated with the Lutheran church (ELCA). One of the outstanding undergraduate institutions in the Midwest, Luther offers more than 60 majors, minors, pre-professional and special programs leading to the bachelor of arts degree. A Phi Beta Kappa chapter attests the academic excellence of the college. Thirty-three states and 45 countries are represented in the 2,500-member student body. The college's 1,000-acre campus provides ample room for student involvement, including 19 intercollegiate athletic squads, over 15 music ensembles, and more than 100 other student organizations and activities. Luther maintains a residential atmosphere, with more than 90 percent of students living on campus each of their four years. |
