This principle is carried out in the classroom and in the broader community through our service-learning program and numerous mission trips in the U.S. and abroad. Each year more than 700 Lipscomb students, faculty, and staff are involved in short-term domestic and international mission efforts with diverse emphases such as medicine, engineering, social justice, education, and evangelism. Graduating students also have the opportunity to be designated as service-learning scholars by completing a service-learning mission trip or internship and a capstone project. More than 130 bachelor's degree programs in nearly 70 majors are offered, including liberal arts, business, biology/pre-med, computer science, education, legal studies, sustainable science, engineering, and nursing. Master's degrees are offered in accounting, aging services, business, civic leadership, conflict management, education, health care informatics, information security, psychology, sustainability, and theology. Doctoral degrees are offered in pharmacy, education, and ministry. Located in Nashville, Lipscomb draws on the city as its campus and the world as its classroom. Study abroad opportunities are offered in Vienna and Santiago as well as numerous other destinations through its affiliation with the CCCU. All of Lipscomb's intercollegiate athletic teams compete at the NCAA Division I level. The Adult Degree Program offers working adults the opportunity to return to school and obtain bachelor's degrees in education, legal studies, business, social work, psychology, and integrated studies. Lipscomb University has six institutes: Conflict Management, Christian Spirituality, Sustainable Practice, Corporate Governance & Integrity, Civic Leadership, Law, Justice & Society, which offer degree programs on the cutting edge of contemporary social issues, drawing top scholars and practitioners from around the country to teach and to serve the greater Nashville community.
