| School mission: | Saint Paul's College, a private, church-related co-educational institution with a Christian heritage, sustains an environment that emphasizes integrity, objectivity, resourcefulness, scholarship and responsible citizenship. Its liberal arts, professional and pre-professional programs prepare students for careers and graduate studies in Business Administration (Accounting, General Business Administration, Management, Management Information Systems, Marketing), Biology, Criminal Justice, Computer Science, English, History/Social Sciences, General Studies, Mathematics, Religious Studies, Political Science/International Relations, Sociology, and educational endorsements in primary, secondary, business and special education. The College provides an academic environment that promotes the vision of the Founder to educate all students, especially the under served, with educational, cultural, spiritual, and life-long learning experiences that will enable them to lead in a technological and global society. Notable programs at the college include the Single Parent Support System (SPSS), a residential academic program for single parents and their children; the Brown v Board Scholars Program, a legislatively created program designed to provide educational opportunities to Virginia residents affected by public school closures during the period of Massive Resistance in Virginia; the James Solomon Russell Scholars Program, a program designed to recruit and encourage students to consider careers in church ministry; the Service Learning Program, a community outreach program that integrates community service with instruction to teach civic responsibility; the Dominican Leadership Program, a grant sponsored program for student ambassadors of Saint Paul's College, and an Executive Accelerated Degree Completion Program (EADCP) in Business Administration for working adults, 25 years old or older. Saint Paul's College holds membership in the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), The Association of Episcopal Colleges (AEC), the Council of Independent Colleges of Virginia (CICV) and the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA). |
