School mission: Texas A&M International University sits on 300 acres of sprawling former ranch land in northeast Laredo, Texas. Strategically located on the US/Mexico border, TAMIU, maintains an international program focus with students learning in an environment humming with international trade and cultural exchange. Almost 6,000 students draw from 67 undergraduate or graduate degree programs predicated on global marketplace success. The lead partner in the economic, social and cultural growth of its growing service area, TAMIU has completed Phase I-IV of the Campus Master Plan. Phase IV totaled 21.6 million including a science center and planetarium opened in April 2005. A Student Success Building will open in Fall 2010.
