Colleges in Hawaii

Both public and private universities and colleges are located on the eight islands that make up Hawaii. The University of Hawaii system has campuses in Hilo, Kahului, Kapolei and the state capital of Honolulu – where the campus includes the School of Hawaiian Knowledge. Residents of Hawaii who want to attend college on the mainland can attend select colleges and universities through the Western Undergraduate Exchange. Colleges in Arizona, California, Nevada and Oregon participate in the program and charge enrolled out-of-state students no more than 150 percent of the in-state tuition rate.
