Collections are world-wide in scope with particular focus on Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War; Michigan in the novel; regional literature, history, and culture; and history of the book and printing. Our Jim Harrison collection documents the work of the Michigan-born writer. GVSU's permanent art collection numbers over 7,000 works, displayed throughout university buildings.
