| Mission | |
| School mission: | Judson University is an evangelical Christian university providing an excellent liberal arts education and equipping students to be fully developed, responsible persons who glorify God by the quality of their personal relationships, work and citizenship within their community and the world. Located just 40 miles from Chicago and situated on 90-acres along the banks of the Fox River, Judson offers more than 60 majors, minors and concentrations, plus 10 pre-professional programs and graduate programs in the areas of business, communications, science, math, music, art and design, architecture, interior design, youth ministry, media art, psychology, education, worship arts and more. Through a broadly based education in liberal arts, sciences and professions, Judson University enables its students to acquire ideas and concepts, which sharpen their insights, develop skills appropriate to their career goals and develop the skills and commitment for life-long learning. A Judson education involves challenging academics with small class sizes taught by fully qualified faculty; practical application of professional skills through internships and real-world projects; an investment in spiritual development through small groups, weekly participation in chapel, mission and service projects; and quality peer interactions through many campus clubs, intramurals and Judson's conference-winning athletic teams. The university's commitment and leadership to ecological conservation led it to build one of the most energy efficient and environmentally friendly buildings in North America, which houses Judson's fully accredited Architecture, Art and Design Program and its library. Judson's graduates bear witness to the university's achievements of integrating faith and learning to become leaders who passionately live out the call to be Christ's light in the world. |
