School mission: Your Success is Our Business! This is truly our goal in the College of Business & Technology. We strive to prepare graduates that are fulfilled professionally and personally. Our graduates are ready to meet the opportunities and challenges in the completive, global, and technological environment found in innovative business and industry enterprises. The College of Education and Human Services is comprised of six departments: Counseling; Educational Leadership; Curriculum and Instruction; Health and Human Performance; Psychology and Special Education and Social Work. Degrees offered include bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees. The College offers a wide variety of programs. Many lead to certification as professional educators; but others lead toward other professions, such as mental health counseling, athletic training education and Social Work. Texas A&M University-Commerce is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The United States Higher Education Act requires all states to report pass rates on statewide examinations for those seeking initial teacher certification. The COEHS is proud to report a 97% pass rate on the TExES/ExCET examination.
