About CTU - Since 1965, more than 38,000 students have enrolled at Colorado Technical University to begin the rewarding climb towards personal, academic and professional career advancement. The mission of Colorado Technical University, an institution of higher learning, is to provide career-oriented education by teaching applied, real-world, industry-current programs in selected areas, serving the needs of students for employment and career advancement and the needs of industry for highly qualified professionals at the associate's, bachelor's, master's and doctoral levels. CTU is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and is a member of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools (30 N. LaSalle St., Suite 2400, Chicago, IL 60602-2504). Professional Learning Model - CTU students are immersed in hands-on, industry-related, problem-solving experiences that model professional environments and help prepare them for careers in the real world. Military - CTU's longstanding scholarship programs include online options, tuition relief for active duty personnel, vocational rehabilitation programs, donation of resources at home and overseas, and support of families and children of service men and women. In 2008, the Council of College and Military Educators awarded its prestigious Institution Award to CTU in recognition of its significant contributions to the cause of military education. In 2007, CTU placed among the top 10 institutions named by Military Advanced Educations Top 30 Colleges. MAE Top Colleges honor is awarded to the most military-friendly universities in the United States. Locally, CTU in Colorado Springs received the 2007 Greater Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Award of Excellence. |
