As we celebrate our 100th year, The College of St. Scholastica's mission, to provide students with intellectual and moral preparation for responsible living and meaningful work, remains constant. The 186-acre main campus is on a wooded ridge overlooking Lake Superior in Duluth, Minnesota. The only independent college in northeastern Minnesota, St. Scholastica is enriched by its Benedictine heritage, which emphasizes values of community, hospitality, respect, stewardship, and love of learning. Founded in 1912 by Benedictine Sisters, St. Scholastica is grounded in the liberal arts and continues to provide a rigorous, values-based curriculum to over 4,000 students in 46 majors. Our students represent 34 states and 40 countries. With a student-faculty ratio of 14:1 and numerous academic and student support services available, students cite personal attention as a defining characteristic of the College. Within six months of graduation, 97.5 percent of St. Scholastica's graduates are in career fields or graduate school, based on a five-year average. St. Scholastica also offers many graduate degrees and accelerated and online undergraduate degrees and certificates. The College has five campuses in Minnesota including Duluth, Brainerd, Rochester, St. Cloud and St. Paul. |
