Museums or special academic buildings on campus Two large art galleries, one of them two stories tall, make up The Perlman Teaching Museum, located in the Weitz Center for Creativity. Nearby, a museum classroom allows access to Carleton's permanent art collection, linking objects in the museum to concepts and ideas that faculty are teaching in all disciplines. Built in the late 1890s, Goodsell Observatory houses three historic telescopes as well as modern telescopes used for classes and open houses.
