Cardinal Stritch University

Cardinal Stritch University is an independent Franciscan Catholic institution of higher education sponsored by the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi. The University, rooted in the liberal arts, provides graduate and undergraduate programs to prepare students for life and for professional careers.

The University assists women and men in pursuing lifelong learning. It provides both traditional and nontraditional approaches to meet the educational needs of a diverse student body. The College of Arts and Sciences offers more than 30 fields of study in 13 different departments and both undergraduate and graduate degrees. Although the major academic programs vary from one another in content and direction, they are all grounded in the same core values and disciplines of the liberal arts. Our diverse student body and small student-to-faculty ratio make learning a rich and satisfying experience. Classes are taught by well-qualified professors rather than teaching assistants. Individualized academic advising, at the department and general level, helps provide a framework on which to build a personal education plan.

The College of Business provides high-quality, practical education that leads to undergraduate and master's degrees. All programs are accelerated, with classes meeting one night a week in convenient locations for working adults. Students in the College receive extensive support through simplified registration, delivery of all study materials to class sites, access to advanced library technology and personalized educational counseling.

The College of Education has more than 60 years of experience in the field of education and a reputation for innovative, cutting-edge programs. Our undergraduate programs are a joint venture with public and private schools, which provide laboratory settings and reflect our commitment to urban education. Our students learn to become educators who value their students' diverse abilities and backgrounds and understand how to work collaboratively. The Doctorate in Leadership for the Advancement of Learning and Service is designed for professionals from an array of businesses or organizations who want to develop or enhance their leadership skills. The program emphasizes a balance of theory, research, reflection and practice and is designed for completion within three years.

The College of Nursing offers a highly personal approach to teaching. Nursing is a high-touch career. At Stritch, we believe your education should be high touch as well.
