Big Picture
I love BYU. Lots of people dont. People that come to BYU do so because they want to be around other people who share their morals and standards. We dont want to have the temptation of drinking and partying that exists at other schools. This is a huge reason people come here but then a lot of kids complain that Provo is a boring town...which its not at all. We are 20 minutes from 11 incredible ski and snowboard resorts. There is tons to do in Provo. Bowling, iceskating, tons of sports, concerts, tooons of places to go out to eat, dance parties all the time, etc. Dont complain if you come here. YOU chose to come here.
Academic Life
Its all good. This school is competitive and therefore lends itself perfectly to lots of smart people working hard to get a good education. So far I have loved all my professors. Some of my favorite classes have been Anthropology and Humanities but BYU has the best Business College in the nation. Its the best. BYU is a great school to get a good education.
Student Body
I hear so much about the goody goody kids at BYU, the molly mormons and peter priesthoods, but i really dont think ive ever met any. Kids are BYU for the most part are pretty chilled out. We have a strong faith that means a lot to us but we still are normal kids who do intramural sports, watch tv, and like to have a lot of fun. I love that at BYU having fun doesnt mean getting drunk and high, it means going out and doing cool things such as skiiing, snowboarding, rockclimbing, dancing, going to concerts, dressing up and going out to dinner with friends, going to movies, etc.
