I believe in Auburn and Love it. I think AUBURN is a shcool that honors tradition. I love the campus and feel like i am a part of the community. It's the perfect size and i love the friendly people. There is one thing that i would change. My major is Radio, TV, and film and i have to fight for my classes. I have spent the night in the Haley center in order to get on a waiting list for classes that i have to have and fight with my fellow classmates about who was first in line. I think this is rediculous. The program desperately needs more funding. It is loosing students to other programs because it can not provide the classes they need. I don't understand how we can lay the bricks in our new buildings the most expensive way to lay bricks and we can't afford teachers to educate the students inside. This is a serious problem and i think the faculty is well aware. I am just comfused about why they won't do anything about it.
My favorite classes are any of Mark Walter's classes. He knows what he is talking about. I also loved rtvf3970 last semester with Jack Smith. I learned more in this class working hands on and directly with people than in any other class at Auburn.
Auburn definatly misses out on student diversity. Every girl looks and dresses the same and every guy does also. I am guilty of this. I wear the same nike shorts that every girl wears but i dont like it. Where are the purple mohawks and dreds? We need individualism. i was a part of dAUnce my freshman year and we had a coeographer from NYC come down to work with our group. He made the same comment. He said that we all looked just alike. I dont think students are even aware of this until it is brought to their attention.
